The Newick Teaching School is a growing network of schools from a widespread area, representing every phase of our education system, from Early Years to those in further and post 16 education in East Sussex. Our catchment is largely rural, reflecting a wide range of socio-economic affluence.

We are committed to using the best practice of our outstanding leaders and teachers to successfully deliver these six strands.

Talent management and succession planning drive every aspect of our work; developing the strengths, resources and creativity of all our teachers to ensure the progress and well-being of the pupils and students in our alliance.

The development of training teachers in this crucial initial stage of their professional development and engaging in high-quality, tailored CPD and leadership training, are at the heart of what we do.

We offer opportunities for teachers to engage in Research and development in their own school and in partnership with other schools.

This feeds into our capacity to support others through system leadership for School to School support. We can deploy Senior Leaders of Education, Local Leaders of Education and National Leaders of Education to schools as brokered support.
